Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

- “Here my love, where do you keep?”
- “In this heart, right at the center.”
A promise together we’ve made,
Whatever happens, still are best friends for life.

Cool-headed and hot-headed,
Both combine, we are neutral.
In fifth grade just four feet we stood,
Short and short, “alike” I would say.
Curly hair is you, straight hair is me,
Curly and straight – different, aren’t we?
Neutral, alike, or dissimilar, Either way, sisters we’ll still be.

- “And here my love, where does it stay?”
- “Deep in the heart, it won’t fly away.”
A promise together we’ve made,
Whatever happens, still are best friends for life.

It's my first time writing a poem. I really miss my best friend in my country; this one is for her. I would like to know your comments.
