Don’t cry
I held her close
As she wept
So much loss
She felt inside
So much anger
Couldn’t subside
And it’s ok
It’s ok
So much imperfection
She couldn’t behold
Oh but I’ll get better
She’s always been told
I’m sorry
I’m sorry
I just couldn’t help you
Please don’t cry again…
To hold you
Was all I could do.
