christmas letter
Dear Mr. Santa dear,

I have a letter for you.
I’ve waited all year long to tell you
 Exactly what I’ve wanted.
I’ve been extremely good this year,
 Even better than years before.
I’ve helped my mommy out a lot
And I’ve tried not to complain.
But all I really want this year
Is not really much at all.
I don’t want anything for me,
But more for those around me.
I want for all the boys and girls
To have a Christmas this year,
To have a tree full of lights
And a shiny star on top.
Boxes of presents with big shiny bows
 And a nativity scene,
With Mary and Joseph and little baby Jesus.
 For excited children’s whisperings
Wondering what Chris Cringle will bring.
And a family sitting all together
 Reading about the Savior’s birth.
For all the world to love and care
 And not fight anymore.
For every kid to laugh and play
And smile and just be happy.
 Dear Mr. Santa dear,
I’ve waited all year long to tell you
 Exactly what I’ve wanted.
Please if you could send my gifts to the entire world.

 Love,
 Emily
 P.S. Thank you!
