Does He Know
Does he know how he still hurts me
About the wounds that'll never heal
Can he hear my broken sobs
A mournful whisper in the night

Does he feel this terrible pain
 Radiating from my torn heart
Can he count all the tears I've shed
An amount too great to name

Does he hear my silent lips
 Quietly repeating his name
Can he taste my cold sorrow
 Bitter regret and sour loss

Does he see my unbearable ache
 My heart's clawing at itself
Can he tell how I want to forget
Though I know I love him still

Does he notice how I wish to hold him
To go back to how we were before
Can he remember the memories I replay
When we promised to stay together.

I always really like the entire last stanza. Especially the last two lines.
