For what I’m about to say is not for the faint hearted

Today I shall teach the lesson of fear

One day a girl went along just as she did everyday
Living her life to what she thought was the fullest.
But this day was different,
Today she will learn what she fears the most.
For no one is fearless.

No one ever knows the true meaning of death
No till the day it happens

Death- never coming back again!
Do you know what that means?
They’re gone!
Play time is over and she must face life for what it is.

She cries and cries for days on end
Feeling so alone
Staring at the shards of glass sitting on the floor,
As the vivid picture of her velvet blood falls to the ceramic tiling.
Running to the apothecary looking for something to drink.
She then turns away in shame.
Why take the easy way out?
If you do hells waiting for you

What will running do?
The pain will still be there,
It will follow you
Get ready cuz it’s here to stay

Spare me the soliloquy that you prepared oh so well
Ooops I meant her.
Secrets out I guess
Go ahead ostracize me!
Like I’m not already
What do you know?

Do you really?
Can you honestly sit there and tell me you know what I’m going through

Spare me your condolences
The I’m so sorry for your lost
The he’s in a better place now!

No more road trips to Blue Ash Ohio
Our time cut short.
Play time is over and I must face life for what it is.
No longer the little girl I once was.
My whole life crashing down on me

Today I will go along like I do everyday
Living my life to what I hope is the fullest.
But today will be different,
Because I will accept what I fear most
For no one is fearless
Death-never coming back again!
But not just death it’s self, but the loneness that it brings
For that fear is deep inside my soul
Which I cannot control
For it builds these walls
These barriers,
That I cannot break down
As I cry out for help no one hears
For that one person who cared
That one person who listens is gone
In your so called “better place”

But today is different
Today I’ll pray that one day I’ll be free from these barriers
Maybe I don t need the older brother that I once had.
Maybe what I need is a friend.
That’s here to listen and hopefully here to stay
