I watch the men
with fat faces
deprecate one another
while the women slosh
around with sunken
hips and saddened
eyes, laughing

congenital beings,
discursive colloquies
sometimes I get soft
AND:

outwardly, I am eager
for their conversation
for their adulation
BUT:

still I walk by
unnoticed
while the women with
sunken hips and saddened eyes
laugh

“Tomorrow will be different”
I say to myself

It's the feeling I get when I want to be a part of something, but find that it's worst and would be considered pretending. Has Tomorrow been an different for you as Today will or was Yesterday?
