Sweet summer I miss so much
The sights, sounds, smells, and touch
The days are hot and glorious
Hanging in the apple orchard, I like best
At night the stars twinkle and glow
The air is warm, the ground free of snow
After the rain, everything is so fresh
It's all so perfect, It all seems to mesh
The birds, trees, grass, woods, and beach
New mud, family, friends, and the occassional leech
Life on the farm is always so great
When I think about it, there's really nothing to hate
Grandma always has cold ice tea
And Kailey gets stung by the occaional bee
We stay up late when we stay overnight
When summer ends, things just don't seem right
