The Time Just Flew By
The time just flew by.
We were told you could hang-out for
Only 30 minutes,
But instead,
We got an hour.
The time just flew by.
At first we ordered cheeseburgers,
Being just silent,
Not our loud/crazy selves.
We unwrapped our food
From the silver and orange wrapping
Still being silent.
The time just flew by.
We slowly began to talk more.
I saw your wonderful smile,
Your perfect white teeth,
And your big brown eyes.
The time just flew by.
Our friends laughed at us
As we became so comfortable around each other,
Playing “keep away”…
Our hands got so red from that.
The time just flew by,
Because I was with you.
We might have been late coming home
And we might have got in some trouble,
But it was worth it,
Because I was with you.
