In Love with the Fantasy
In love with the Fantasy
Is something I will forever be
And I mask what is very true
Feeling I may never be with you

I am often believed to have charm
Yet I feel I will bring harm
 It feels very delusional
And the pain is so emotional

In this world I have created
The name of my love has been stated
 Her rich happiness and purity
I believe was not tainted by society

Her very life is different from mine
Her personality has given the sign
I know now it cannot be
But I am still in love with the Fantasy.

I think this is a beautiful poem. :)
Is something I will forever be
And I mask what is very true
Feeling I may never be with you" - that's so beautifully tragic and hopeless yet a relief at knowing the truth. I love how you phrased that verse. It's ironic that on the surface the poem is about Fantasy, but if you peel back the layers it's about Reality. Cool poem.
