The First Time I Saw You

The first time I saw you I didn’t know what to say,
The first time I saw you my mind went away,
My heart skipped a beat,
And my eyes rolled defeat,
As the tears came pouring down,
I looked like a clown,
Yet I didn’t care,
I let them stare,
I stayed with you for so long,
I questioned myself, “Where did it all go wrong?”
And as I left I knew,
That it would the first and last time I’d see you
You’re gone now, but you’re in my heart
Your memory, it’s like a work of art
I can still remember the first time I saw you.

Wow this is really good, I suck at writing couplets haha the only thing I'd change is the clown line, kinda a cheesy line. The rest is very well written, thought out, it sets the image in one's head, and tells an overall great story. Good job. =)
