Who I Am, I Can't Even Tell
Scream till my throat bleeds
My converse creates the perfect beat
Pain shoots through my running feet
I run so far and end up nowhere
My hands shake, I feel my heart tear
I cry so loud, the walls shatter
I feel so old and tattered
The sorrow in my eyes is so clear
Despite all the pain, I only shed one tear
I can’t hide from it all
No matter how hard I try
I try to run, but I just fall
All I do it sit here and lie,
To myself, to the world around me
I can’t be who I want to be
In the mirror, I see an empty shell
 Who I am, I can’t even tell
I smile and laugh at the moment
 Inside, I cry in torment
The fire in my soul is frozen
Every bone in my body feels broken
I try to run faster than the world that’s spinning
But the world seems to be winning
I feel my feet begin to trip
My breath explodes and my heart skips
My elbows slam on the ground below me
Scrapes and bruises form on my knees
The tears just fall and the pain’s too great
The world has won, what else could it take?
My life, my soul, my heart is now frayed
All I can do is lay here and pray
I stare at the moon while it shines
 Absently remembering the time
I can’t hide from it all
No matter how hard I try
I try to run, but I just fall
All I do is sit here and lie,
To myself, to the world around me
I can’t be who I want to be
In the mirror, I see an empty shell
 Who I am, I can’t even tell
