rise and shine
October 12, 2009
walk these streets, sit alone,
wish the day away,
hope for new beginnings,
pray for one more day.
tuck yourself in bed,
cuddle yourself to sleep
dream the night away
thankful for one more day.
rise and shine too early,
no big plans for such a nice day,
clean and watch TV,
beg to not live for one more day.
and days carry on,
sad, slow, and long,
memories haunt my every move,
with a soundtrack on repeat,
plays the saddest song.
thought i could walk these streets,
thought i could sit alone,
now i just survive on memories
of all the love shown.
