The Old Lady in the Street
We were driving through town.
He saw her, with her cardigan and
 walker and
 plastic bags.
 Waiting.
 Cars whizzed past,
 not seeing
 or caring.
 "Turn around." he said.
 "We should help her."
 We all protested.
 "NO!"
 "Keep driving mom!"
 "Just ignore him."
 But we turned anyway
 and
 drove back to her.
The old lady on the street.
 Some other guy helped
 her across,
 but we stopped traffic
 and made everyone
 wait.
We made the world a better place
 all because
 he was right.

I love that about him. He is so funny with his quirks like that. But we did help that little old lady across the street.
