Our Acts of Love
The way you hug me
 When we say our goodbyes
 The way you hold me
When I cry on your shoulder
 The way you trust me
With all your deepest, darkest secrets
 The way you know
When I am in pain and comfort me
The way you are always there for me
I know that you love me

But there is something you need to know
 I love you too
The way I bother you daily
 With my pesky text messages
The way I look for you
 Whenever I am hurt
The way I always come running back to you
No matter how much you piss me off

 You may deny it,
 Say that you are “unlovable”
 But it’s not true
Maybe I don’t show it enough
 With my hugs
 Or hurt you too often
 With my careless words

 When I never mean to

 I know I don’t deserve you
But I guess you don’t care
Because with our acts of love
 I know you love me
 And I love you
