When I gaze at the stars
I gaze at the stars,
and it aches my heart,
and floods my head
thinking why we fell apart.
When I watch the skies,
it gets grey in my eyes —
thinking maybe… maybe a star would I see
as beautiful as you are.
But none pass by,
and I think why we fell apart.
I lie the days in bed;
through the nights I cry,
as around me
the dreams of you fly.
Thy beauty, thy smile, thy laugh —
I recall all of them fine
until the thousandth time.
Then the moment comes
when I lose the count of my breath
and a beat in my heart.
And then I don’t beg you…
and the distance between us
isn’t so far.
