How is the view
From half way down
Hanging by a thread
Waiting for inconvenience to push me over the edge

How do I look?
Freshly folded sheets
Tidy chaos
So they know I was clean
Makeup that will survive an autopsy
Delicate
So they know I was sweet
Searching for reasons that weren’t there
Answers if I’d have known may have stuck around

Is it close enough to living to going to class
Close enough to get out of bed again
Resume a position in the constant employment of Humanity
Do the motions I am going through plead my case to stay
One more attempt to be content with barely passing

Or would my peers be fortunate to put my mission to rest
Resign standards to be exceptional
Return the real state of consciousness to what I truly want
Face repercussion when I find peace

Hope to recover my potential when I get there

How is the view
Gazing at a lost cause
Reflecting on my own merry chase to find closure
When you’re half way gone it’s a task to withdraw
