Cosmos

Only a cosmos.

That is all that remains

It has no purpose to grow.

It can't be used in bouquets,

It has no use in soup,

There is no soup.

No human.

Nothing.

Only a cosmos,

Pink and shining,

Ready to be used.

No one to see it,

No one to taste it.

Only a cosmos,

The only flower on a dead and withering world,

Standing in a sea of grey, dead plants.

Only a cosmos,

Growing out of an eye.

This work is about the cosmos flower and the cosmos. It shows how other things must be present to make other things have meaning.

It also shows absolute beauty in nothing and how nature goes on when other stop.
