"There are no small parts, there are only small actors."

I am an ocean

Full of life

Roaring with Rhythmic patterns

Wild and Free

Musically inclined with the waves.

So I refuse to become a pond for you.

Murky and mad

Calm and cloudy.

That is not me.

You will not shrink me.

This poem represents my refusal to become smaller for anyone. I am like an ocean—full of life, movement, and rhythm. Wild and free, musically inclined with every wave. That is who I am at my core.

There was a time when someone saw my depth but not my worth. I was made to feel like an option, something temporary and hidden. I became the other woman, used by someone who took what I offered without honesty or respect. The hardest part is that I still have to see him every day, a reminder of how small he tried to make me feel. He wanted me quiet, contained, reduced—more like a pond than an ocean.

But that is not me. A pond is still, murky, and confined. I refuse to dull my energy or shrink my presence to make someone else comfortable.

This poem is about reclaiming my space and my voice. It is about choosing myself after being asked to live in the shadows. My depth is not a flaw—it is my strength. Like the ocean, I will continue to move, grow, and exist in my full power. I will not be hidden.
