Perennial
The lavender flowers,
Whither so slowly.
They shimmer,
Glisten,
After a rain,
But they shine brighter,
Still they stand.
The serene petals,
Wither too quickly,
They twirl as they fall,
Spin to the dirt,
Sprouting in seeds,
That'll bloom in the spring.
And bud a new life.
Twinning and misting,
The velvety flowers,
Fade for a time,
But come back,
Brighter than before,
Radiant in amethyst,
Healed and restored.
