7 year old me
I stare at the mirror and don't like what I see
I’ll just try another exercise to try and fix me
I point every flaw only my eyes can imagine
But saying each word feels like a sin
Because I'm not saying it to a 15 year old teen
I’m saying it to 7 year old version of me
The girl who ate popsicles everyday after school
But now its calories and fat that over rules
I hated me height because it sucked in sports
But that was after i played in forts
See, my height had its pros and its cons
But I always saw it as something wrong
I stare at the mirror and don't like what I see
But a 7 year old girl is staring back at me
She can’t wait to grow up but she should enjoy her age
Cause when she’s older she'll be stuck in a cage
