Grief Poem

December 8, 2025

Too early, too soon,

Stuck, chained to my room.

Not sadness, not anger,

Only a dessert,

A void with no rider.

Too early, too soon,

Met you in the morning, gone before noon.

Looked the other way, but she kept my view.

God forbid our gazes crossed.

For she a queen, turned me into a pawn.

Too early, too soon,

You left without seeing our love.

Seeing you smile was our joy.

Your absence hurts more 'cause it's soft,

A silenced voice.

These words will never reach you,

Trapped in my head,

And that's my greatest regret,

The love, the friendship,

The words I kept.

The author's comments:

This is a poem I wrote about the death of my school crush. I felt the need to write it to communicate my feelings in some way. It definitely helped me, so I hope you like it.
