If We Could Be:
If we were rocks —
no numbers chasing,
no voices breaking,
just lying around.
People collect you,
forget you in corners,
toss you for fun —
yet you feel nothing.
If we were grass —
absorbing sunlight,
carrying footsteps,
deeply rooted down.
If we were pencils —
a true friend, the eraser,
always got your back,
no fear of messing up.
If we were all the three —
rocks, grass, pencils —
would we carry longing?
Wouldn't we miss humanity?
