Fool's Duel
Wavering thoughts cloud my mind.
Everything i speak turns into lies.
What if i leave and never say goodbye?
Will i be missed or be simply left blind?
My heart bleeds, and the earth is crying;
nothing stays still while i lay here dying.
My heart and brain play cat and mouse,
Never letting the other out of the house.
Can i lie here and play pretend,
never letting my feelings truly ascend?
Call me the Joker cause I am a fool,
a broken story left untold in life’s cruel duel.
Saying my name under your skin,
your blood boiling at my patheticness.
You look at me and see a storm,
made to consume like a void.
Seeing me makes you fear,
but don’t act as if you weren’t the one
who put me here.
