Hope is a Gentle Trophy
I will never win
Unbearable torture I’m in
It’s much too hopeless
I must be senseless
Victory is unobtainable
My very being grows unstable
I may collapse under the burden
My future remains uncertain
A trophy made of sweet pride
I watch as it passes me by
But no matter how hard I try to cling
I was never going to win
