Please don’t go
The world keeps spinning, skies still blue,
Even if the world has lost you.
The sun will rise, the winds will blow,
But your own light won’t get to glow.
You might feel like no one sees,
The hurt beneath your silent pleas.
But if you go, they’ll ache inside,
Blaming themselves for how you died.
They’ll wonder if they missed a sign,
If they had stopped, just one more time.
Each smile they gave, each word unsaid,
Will echo loud inside their head.
The halls you walked, your empty seat,
The silence no one can defeat.
The laughter lost, the missing spark,
A world that suddenly feels dark.
The world keeps spinning, yes, it’s true,
But colder now, without your view.
And though you think you’re ending pain,
You pass it on, like falling rain.
So hold on tight, please ride the storm.
There’s help, there’s hope, there’s ways to mourn.
Your story’s not supposed to end,
You matter more than you pretend.

This piece was written during a time when I was struggling with mental health and wanted to capture the feelings of hopelessness that many teens face. I wrote it as a message of encouragement to remind others that they are not alone and that their story still matters. Through poetry, I found a way to turn pain into hope, and I hope this piece can reach someone who needs to hear it.
