We are I.
What am I?
Every glass,
You’ll find me.
You chew my esteem.
Why can’t you hear me?
Knock on your glass.
Stand before I.
Couldn’t look
In your eyes.
Couldn’t bear you
Cutting me
Up and down.
Again.
Every curve,
Is not enough for you.
Every pose,
Disgusts you.
Every flesh that dangles,
Is ridiculed.
Every mark is,
Unforgivable.
Every attempt at style—
Never suitable
For you.
Have you no mercy?
I bear you:
Carnations.
And yet,
You always
Compare.
How can you despise?
When you,
Are I.
Yet all the cracks
We share
Are mine?
