"Creativity is intelligence having fun" -- Albert Einstein

He has autumn eyes.

They are warm mahogany,

Dark chocolate and ebony,

With all the richness of fresh-tilled earth,

Lifegiving and vital.

In the sunlight, they gleam with the scent of cider,

Blaze with autumn sunlight,

Rich as cinnamon, shot through with gold.

They are alight with the warmth of the fireside,

Sparkle with comfort and clove and all-spice,

They have the quiet romance of copper

The warm soul-syrup of an autumn breeze.

His eyes are wealth and warmth,

So achingly inviting, quiet, and overlooked,

Yet dazzling as they shift from onyx to bronze,

Obsidian to amber honey.

They are two tiger’s eyes,

Dark star sapphires,

Coffee and copper and gold.

He says his eyes are ordinary—

They are anything but.

His eyes are wonderful,

Quietly extraordinary, inviting and kind

Their warm umber hides all the luxuries of the world inside

If only you bother to look.
