my last love.
That corner in front of my house
I stare at it all day
everyday
there has not been a day since you left that I don't look at it
and reminisce
on the nights we would dance under the street light
thinking about the time we spend
the hours, we would stare at the stars
when nothing would matter expect you and me
in that moment
when you made me whole
when I didn't miss you like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky
when the moon and the sun rarely meet
it's a switch that turns off and on
when the streetlight comes on everything is back
when the snow falls so does my heart
screaming hozier and taylor swift
with you in the middle of the street
on a random tuesday night
sitting on the corner eating pizza and drinking mtn dew
I need you like the stars need darkness to shine
you are the darkness to my light
causing me to shine in every way possible

This is a piece about loosing the one person you feel made you complete. Feeling that sense of longing and aloneness.
