Love and Loss
my body left her arms but my mind was never moved
I wonder everyday if she wishes it was the same, if she misses me in a way
I hope she sees the rain and thinks of my eyes the last time I saw her
I hope that there are places she can't go
because something inside her tells her it’s a space for only her and me
I pray that she has realized I am everything
and that my love for her lives and breathes everyday
in the end this is me loving me
my own heart misses my old one
my love falls from my mouth
it sweats from my pours
it's left in my footprints
it echoes from my chest
it will be this way until I lay to rest
and when my eyes are closed
it will seep into the earth around my limbs.

This is a poem about missing someone so desperately it stains your thoughts. It describes a person who is a lover by nature whom will always love. It reads like spoken poetry and falls on the page until it lands 6 feet under the ground in the end. It flows like the life of a hopeless romantic: caring until they can't.
