Curious Like Alice

I am freefully curious and curiouser

I would follow rabbits below

I would eat cake that says eat me

I would drink tea that says drink me

I would squeeze through walls smaller than me

I would open doors that stay closed

It’s made both for Tweedle Yay or Tweedle Nay

Once it was Nay I took but curious for me to find Yay

Led for tyranny of rosie poked thorns were left off front

Enough roses were painted red for its purple wilts before

Soon the right tea would brew for me to grow

Agreeable for the taste it brought in disagreed satisfactory

Change can flavor over the nothing when you stand on your head

I wouldn’t have learned for what could be if wouldn’t be were there, you see

If it isn’t clear to see then what is clearer than me?

Follow the rabbit to malice if you will

Take left or right, down to upside

What’s a merry unbirthday wish more than the pits for Wonderland

The author's comments:

Hello there my name's Tony, this poem is paying homage to Alice In Wonderland being a fairy tale that has inspired part of my own writing and is also a tale that I do resonate with a little. You can relate the themes I put in this poem about discovery of one's self or even one's life.
