Beckon Me
there is a blurred line between being needed and the façade wanting to be needed creates
i have pledged to lay down every atom of my being to help you walk unfathomable lengths
but oddly enough
once the destination has been reached
i find that every time i outstretch for your hand
you are gone
though, this has never coaxed me to break free of this stagnant position you often leave me in
because i know that one day you will make haste back to me again
where your unrelenting hold on my wrists will whisper a woeful cry that you need me once more
forevermore i will reply to the beckon of your calls
because i need you to need me
