The Big Bang
From the age of 5
Students are forced to ponder
“Where should we hide?”
“How can we prevent this?”
We spend our time meant for learning packing like sardines
In the dark, scared, waiting for the police to come to the door
Let us free
We still do this,
The fear grows as the numbers rise
Students die, teachers gone forever,
“We want change” “ We NEED change”
We continue to wait for the next shooting
Memorials become posts on instagram making this life were living feel unreal
It doesn't happen to you until someday it does
We mourn, and stress
But we dont change
Who is to blame for the pain our society has caused
The guy with the gun?
The school who saw and said nothing?
No, it's the lady at the store for not taking extra precautions…. Right?
We need change, not extra locks
Change is not “run, hide, fight”
We need CHANGE
