Paper Lies

My life seems good on paper, but you know how paper lies
you've no idea how many times I've used these pages to stifle my cries
And the tear stains may be faded, but I promise they're there
along with the secrets that I never bothered to share
The book of my life has crumpled and torn out pages,
trauma I can't even remember from my younger ages
And now it seems I've reached the end, but I can't stand goodbyes
all this just because no one knows how paper lies
