my name
My name says alot about me. Names are who you are.
My parents gave me the name Emma. It doesn't sound like something cool or different.it won't ever be spelt wrong on a starbucks drink no one will ever ask you how to spell it there are no cute nicknames for the name emma i am just emma. i hear it every day even when it's not directed at me i have learned to brush off someone calling my name indulging in my head it wasn't for me my name It doesn't sound like my parents took time to think about it—it sounds like they looked up top names of 2005 and picked the first girl name but i'm sure they didn't just say yep throw it on the document saying there we are i know there was more of a reason
Whenever I ask my mom why Emma she tells me how my name is derived from the Germanic word ermen meaning "whole" or "universal". But to me it is just who I am. And i don't blame then for it being basic i mean there names are kath and brett there nothing there ether but to me emma is me and even if i don't think my name always fits me i have learned to love it and appreciate the simple things like someone saying my name wrong or agin starbuck it spelling it wrong but my name is emma and unless i want to go threw getting a new name in problem going to stick with emma
