The Art of the Swing
After checking in, the pressure begins to mount.
At the first tee, a million eyes begin to scout.
Try to hit the ball straight, try to hit the ball far.
Avoid going OB and hitting a car.
Approaching the green can be quite intimidating,
With a pressure similar to dating.
But, you step up, sink the putt, and get dialed in,
For the next seventeen holes, where the fun begins.
You arrive at the 18th tee,
You’ve enjoyed this round so far.
But now you want to finish out with a strong par.
This game, it simply makes you feel free.
If you thought there was pressure before, you’re surely in for a shock,
The clubhouse is looking on, and ready to rock.
After finishing out, you feel you have played your best,
As the sun begins setting to the west.
For this game, it’s never ending,
No one ever truly masters the art of the swing.
