Mother's
Mother like daughter
Cursed to parent instead of being parented
Long nights of wondering if this was right for your child
And realizing that child is your brother
You’re plagued to be your mother
Waiting to hear steps on the stairs,
That
Is when I know you’re there
An argument starts and hearts are burned
Oh, how the tables have turned
I am not a child, and you aren’t a parent
I am who you were
And it has always been apparent
A brother became my childhood
And now I am grown
But what mother would leave their child
To do what they did on their own?

I had to post this for my teacher and I'm afraid that it is terrible. Thank you Micheal.
