The Path of the Wolf

As I cross the threshold 
and my feet glide across the glossy hardwood floor 
The Sky Falls 
and the air turns heavy and thick 
Like that of a held breath 
 
Count your steps, until you reach your  
Great Escape. 
For if you stumble 
The Wolf is bound to attack 
 
How could you stray from the chosen path  
So Carelessly? 
What a Stupid Idiot you are. 
Without the path, you’d be nowhere. 
 
Forget your thoughts 
Forget your feelings 
Abandon all that you hold dear. 
 
The Path of the Wolf is the only way.
