Knowing Your Worth
She was a rose
In the hands of those
Who had no intention
Of keeping her close.
The world fills her with pain.
She questions if she’s sane.
As her thorns prick,
They try to pick.
She remains rooted.
To this ground,
She is footed,
Her tears, Her hands, Her feet
Are rooted.

I wrote this poem about a beautiful girl going through her first relationship, she sees how men can abuse, mistreat, and use her. She struggles with leaving them until she looks at herself and realizes she is worth more. This earth can ground her and provide for her she doesn't need a man but to love herself.
