nights, long nights, and even longer nights
nights, long nights, and even longer nights
by finley
i lay awake at night
and wonder
when will it be over?
when will it end?
nights like these are curious ones
i lay awake at night
and wonder
does it get better?
does it get easier?
long nights like these are dreadful ones
i lay awake at night
and wonder
am i worth it?
am i enough?
even longer nights like these are excruciating ones
i lay awake at night
and wonder
when will these nights,
these long nights,
and even longer nights,
finally feel shorter?

I'm a transmasculine student and I struggle with depression, anxiety, insomnia, and dysphoria. This poem really speaks to me personally because it really hones in on my personal struggles in life. Short and sweet here for stuff about me, but yeah.
