But none so cruel
as to love in vain
Once upon the beauty of dawn
a morning glory bloom
Once upon the death of dusk
it shall meet its doom
Born bright and light
death without fright
Say goodnight as closed contrite
Farewell my blossom unloved
Till feelings left ungloved
For there are many forms of pain
But none so cruel
as to love in vain
