Definition Of Loneliness
There's a reason I feel lonely even when I'm not alone; the definition of loneliness is “sad because one has no friends or company”; wrong. Loneliness is a disconnection from other human beings. Being social doesn't cure loneliness; I know because I have always been lonely. From sitting alone at lunch in sixth grade to waving at five people on my way to class. I know I’m not the only one. We try to keep up appearances. Putting our masks on before entering the school. Smile after smile after smile. I’m still lonely. Loneliness comes from a place where there is not a single person that can see through your disguise. Not a single person to pull you from the deep. Or at least jump in with you.
