Lone star
“I am the world, I am the stars”
I know you may not see me
You may not hear me
But let me speak clearly
For I am alone
One among many yet still no home
I wish to find a place to roam
Yet I am trapped alone
I’ve lived for eons I suppose
They will never come close
Because all goes
Or so I suppose
This place is cold
And its you I hold
Myself has been sold
So I became cold
Someday I will perish
Although it’s those I cherish
I’ll be left behind once again
For another to find
And then be forgotten when it began
I wish to be bright and lead the way
Let me speak clearly
For I am weary
For I am alone
I am the the world,
I am…
Only a star…
No longer needed…
For I have drifted too far.
