Gloomy Sky and The Sun
She looks up at the sky and sees dark gloomy clouds towering over her
She sees the rain hitting the ground in large wet droplets
She runs through a large puddle getting all wet
She shows up late to school ten minutes late
She has wet, cold, messy hair
She gets a C on her quiz about anatomy
She gives a speech in front of her class ending in laughter
She loses her best friend since kindergarten
She ends her day staring out the window at the gloomy sky and rain
But then something changes
She sees the rays of sun that were peeking through the clouds
She sees the grass getting greener from the rain
She got to jump in a puddle like when she was a child
She got to slow down realizing nobody is perfect
She has clean hair
She has room for improvement in her class
She learned from her speech what she could do different; to be better at that art
She realizes that person wasn’t the best for her
She ends her day looking out the window seeing the sun and a rainbow peering through the clouds with gratitude and realizes everything is just how it’s supposed to be
