Musicians

I wish we were all musicians,

Manifest our pleas for help,

Our existence transformed,

To something easier to hear,

That’ll narrow their vision,

Maybe then they’ll listen,

Tell me why nobody listens?

Is it not bad enough? this position?

Tell me how to deal with tomorrows,

That start without you,

Feels like my hearts been pierced by arrows,

Every soul shall taste death,

Was it your time that was due?

As the sun swims along its course,

Not long shall I be paid compensation.

The sun falls in remorse,

The moon rising,

I want to breathe, I hate this night

I want to wake up, I hate this dream

Why is it so dark when you're not here

The moon glimmers tonight,

Shines light on all the black spots,

Just like from my memory, I see you,

You're just like a Butterfly

From afar, I steal your glances

If we touch hands, will I lose you?

You light up my pitch darkness.

With your soft touches,

I forget the reality at once.

Don't try to disappear.

All of this seems like a dream.

I know it is in actuality,

When I think of you again, the sun comes out.

Its summer again

Pass the end of unforgiving winter,

The water starts to simmer,

Summer’s left it all shriveled,

Until a spring day, I'll see that again,

Until the flowers bloom,

Bright colors light up a nation,

Darkness can only succumb,

As a stream, in continuous rotation,

The center we’ve become,

Not one season can last, however,

The season you left will come again,

It’ll come in this lifetime, it’ll come again.

I wrote this while thinking about the victims of the devastating floods that happened in Pakistan recently. I hope this may have resonated with some readers, and maybe reading this may make you want to donate to charities that help the Pakistanis suffering right now.
