Doppelgänger
The weight of the world can’t fit on my shoulders but-
I still try to hold her
Understanding that we are one and the same
She is misunderstood and -
she is my fate
A broken vessel used for destruction and hate
Created from love and loss-
She is heaven and hell
Brought together and made to be a weapon
To threaten
My life is her target
A red bullseye that she has been waiting to hit
I have made it easy for her
I have let my guard down with the understanding that she would attack-
Follow me in the dark and then stab me in the back
I got what I wanted
I got to see the mess I had created
The part of me that I hated
The part of me that had waited so long to latch on
I have been hurt by the hands of my own creation
A mountain of problems and an endless amount of exceptions
She is a frame of mind that has brought me to shame
That has brought so much pain-
And has placed so much blame
She is misunderstood
She is broken
She is heaven and hell
My fate and my worst enemy
We are one and the same
