the seashore - one

“what do you desire, shore?”
shore huffed with mirth.
“do you truly wish to know?”
sea smiled and sparkled. “yes.”
shore sighed and leant into sea’s cool embrace
his head into calm blue waters.
“i wish for a love as deep as the sea.”
his eyes were hard and arresting.
but sea did not look away.
she reached out to shore’s face
a gentle paroxysm,
for they both knew what that meant.
“have it, then.”
