It
There's no doubt that there is something:
an entity, a something that created everything.
Perhaps, It isn't a single entity:
perhaps, It exists in everything. Perhaps It is there
in that sharp intake of break after a hike up,
seeing the world from two-thousand feet up.
Perhaps, It is there in the tiniest drop of morning dew
rolling languidly, slowing just before dripping to its demise.
Perhaps It is there,
floating in the air, imperceptibly crying out "Ouch!" every time we run our fingers through It.
Or perhaps, It is a single entity:
an amalgamation of everything and nothing
nowhere and somewhere
someone and no one
never and always.
Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps.
Praying often gives people solace:
they feel as though they are doing something to better their life
or afterlife
or lives.
But perhaps it is solace enough to know that It is here.
There.
Perhaps.
