I hide the rose on my back
I hid the roses on my back,
Along the path of the muddy track.
When my fingers interlace,
Become persistent in the drifting place.
My spirit was crushed by the fears
Rainfall illuminates my tears.
I submerged in the falling rain
And feel nothing but the hurricane
I disregard everything carelessly
And didn't attempt to repair heartedly
I conceal the rose as I always do
Hope to get rid of everything about you
I hid the roses in my back
Sharply snapped the head off with a crack
When the thorns punctured my hand.
Become tenacious in the shifting land.

The main theme of this poem is the emotional state following a failed relationship beyond adolescence. The rose stands for a courageous heart that longs for love. In the first and last stanzas, even though she(the “I” in the poem) feels hurt by the other person and is aware that he didn’t take the relationship seriously, her love stance is unwavering. The scene she ventures outside of her home at midnight with rain to experience nature is described in the second stanza. She does this to release her pain fullness because once believed that the pain brought on by love might be soothed by nature, but sadly this was not the case. In the third stanza, as someone with great self-esteem, she did not attempt to detain him instead choosing to behave as if she did not care about everything about him.
If we overview the entire poem it is easy to know that she still loves him. But she decides to hide her heart in a spiritual space behind herself rather than show it.
