Greed Overcomes You
The bomb blows like the wind on a spring morning
You hear the shouting of the people around
listening to terrible sounds
surrounding you
You’re stuck in place like you’re frozen
unable to move a single muscle
After awhile you notice everyones ran away
not a single soul in sight
Well you look around
you notice that the stores around you are
empty
And greed overcomes you,
heading into the store you take all you can hold taking advantage of this opportunity
but as your walking out you get a feeling of regret in your head
Wondering if this was the right thing, if karma would get you for this
You try to push the thoughts out of your mind but you know deep down that it was wrong
It was the wrong thing to do it was far past your morals you know it's wrong but nobody was there nobody saw a thing, anyone in your position would have done that everyone would have taken that’s risk
Your family struggling right now
You could really use this
But what about the person that owns the store
What will they think
How will they feel
You continue to head home with this feeling in your chest
Wondering if it was the right thing to do
