snow, n
The wind begins to blow. The birds stop chirping. The temperature drops. Here comes the snow. Snow drifts between my horses’ hips, and bites all 10 of my finger tips. This is the weather that the first time heifers, decide to calve. They don't wait for that warm sunny day. They love to wait for that cold brisk and frostbit morning. When everyone is cold and tired, and just wants to stay by the fire. The warm days are so close. When the storm blows, in this late winter snow. I’ll think of you, bright sunny day.
